Placement Update

Welcome. You can reach the NAASE Placement Chair Harvey M. Brenner, FSA, FTA by e-mail.  Those wishing help with developing or updating a resume, may contact the Placement Resume Consultant by e-mail for assistance.

Every member of NAASE is urged to comply with the existing rules and regulations when applying for a position:

  • Interview or apply directly or indirectly to a listed position while not on placement status
  • Apply to any USCJ synagogue position through a newspaper ad
  • Apply to any USCJ synagogue position through an employment agency

Important Reminder!

Please be mindful of the long-standing procedure by which candidates submit their resumes directly to the congregational contacts, and that two important steps need to be fulfilled, as well:

  1. Candidates interested in placement must register with the Joint Placement Commission
  2. Candidates must inform the Commission’s Director of their intention to send resumes to congregations

In cases where only the salary is listed, candidates should be mindful to raise the question at an appropriate point, about the full compensation package being offered, including factors such as reimbursement for relocation expenses and interview travel expenses.
